A new 4,560sqm building was planned to provide Royal Museums Greenwich with new modern stores for its collections and conservation function, which is currently spread over five locations, presenting logistical difficulties.

TPI (now part of Motion) was commissioned to produce a Transport Assessment, Travel Plan, on-street parking assessment, access design and servicing.

The retained access was improved to accommodate more frequent use by large vehicles by means of extended waiting restrictions (double yellow lines). An assessment of existing employees’ travel was carried out to provide a benchmark for future travel patterns and Travel Plan targets, reflecting the site’s accessible location.
