Motion advised a consortium of developers, including the HCA on a redevelopment scheme to the west of Ifield near Crawley. The proposals will provide approximately 2,500 new homes, a new district centre, schools and local facilities. The site will also be promoted through the Plan process.
West Sussex County Council had previously objected to the proposals on highway grounds. Motion conducted an assessment of the highway network, developed a package of mitigation measures and proposed a public transport strategy.
West Sussex County Council subsequently withdrew their objection and agreed to support the proposal. Motion supported the consortium of developers by giving evidence at the Examination in Public.
